Tessie Topol
Tessie advises foundations, corporations and non-profits on philanthropic strategy, positioning, thought leadership, and cross-sector partnership development. She brings a wealth of hands on experience and insights, drawn from leadership roles in both the private and non-profit sectors, including serving as Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility at Time Warner Cable where she was the driving force behind its signature philanthropic initiative, Connect a Million Minds – a $100M commitment to connect young people with STEM learning opportunities. Launched at the White House as a lead partner of President Obama’s Educate to Innovate campaign, the award-winning program was inducted into PR News’ CSR Hall of Fame.
Tessie has also served as Director of Strategic Partnerships & Public Affairs at MTV and Director of Development at the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS). In 2015 she was recognized as Social Good Leader of the Year by Cynopsis Media at its inaugural Social Good Awards. She is the Chair and Co-Founder of Harlem Dance Club.
Erica Kendall
Erica’s experience is focused on helping companies and nonprofits maximize their impact. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, cause-related marketing, corporate nonprofit partnerships, employee engagement and volunteerism, strategic communications, and program implementation.
Previous clients and experience include American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association, CECP, Dunkin Brands, Share Our Strength, Sodexo Foundation, Neiman Marcus, Time Warner Cable, The Hartford, Vista Equity Partners and Walgreens, among others.
Erica received her MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management where she focused on marketing, corporate social responsibility, and entrepreneurship.
Ken Freitas
Ken brings a unique combination of marketing strategy, corporate responsibility, and communications expertise to business and non-profit organizations. As a senior executive for leading brands and as an entrepreneur, Ken has over 25 years experience in integrating strategy, brand building, communications, and corporate responsibility.
Ken has worked with premier brands including Timberland, City Year, Time Warner Cable, FIRST, Fidelity, Citizen Schools, Citrix Systems, Eli Lilly, Disney, and The Cable Center.
He is an Executive in Residence and Senior Fellow in Social Innovation at The Lewis Institute at Babson College and has served as a board member of the Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins Community Foundation, an instructor with the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, and a member of the New Hampshire Commission on National and Community Service.
